6. Returns / Refunds & Warranty Policy

6.1 offers a cancellation / returns policy in line with UK Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014 as below:

6.2 Orders may be cancelled at any time before they are dispatched and you are notified of dispatch by e-mail. If you have already been notified that your order has been dispatched then please read on:

6.3 We will offer an exchange or refund of your product within 14 days of receipt, as long as the product is unused, undamaged and remains in its original packaging. 

*Please note that there are some goods which cannot be returned, these include personalised items (unless faulty), perishable goods and items which are non-returnable for hygiene reasons (e.g. underwear).  If you are unsure if you can return your item please call us on 02890834056 or email before posting the item.

6.4 In order to help us efficiently process your return, please print a copy of your invoice and enclose it along with the goods to:

For the security of your goods, we recommend returning your item via secure post (i.e. a service which requires signature for receipt of goods). We also recommend that you insure goods in transit to their full value.

6.4a For Non-Defective / Non-error goods orders:

For a full refund on non-defective, non-damaged goods, where the goods have been correctly dispatched to you according to order contract, the entire order (or agreed part order) needs to be returned back to us in its original packaging, undamaged and unsoiled and in a condition suitable for sale.  You must notify us in writing by email within 14 days of receipt, we must then receive the goods within a further 14 days. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. They are returned at your own cost and risk. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession - this applies to all goods that are returned. If a refund is payable to you we will send you email notification and process the refund as soon as possible, and this will be processed within 5 working days. Any postage costs you have paid to us, will not be refunded.

6.4b For Defective / Error goods orders:

From time to time Goods supplied may become defective, we are happy to issue you a refund within 28 days of purchase.

If the item you received is not as described (subject to point 5) or has been damaged, we are happy to refund your postage costs for sending the item back to us up to a cost of £10. In order for us to refund your postage costs, please send a copy of your postage receipt along with the returned items, or send an email with a copy of the receipt to  Refunds will only be made to the payment method used to purchase the item.

If you return goods within 28 days of purchase claiming they are defective, damaged or incorrect according to order contract, we will examine the returned goods and will notify you of your refund, or otherwise via email within 5 working days of the goods being received in our shop. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and confirm via email that your refund has been processed or otherwise.

6.5 Refund Timing:

Due to variations between banking systems, please be aware that refunds can take up to an additional 7 banking days to appear on your account from the date of the email confirming your refund. Please also be aware that we take payments and issue refunds in GBP only, your refund may vary slightly from your payment due to currency fluctuations.

6.6 When we are processing a refund to you, we will refund the money onto the same card originally used by you to place the order.

6.7 Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

6.8 For Warranty on Defective Goods:

From time to time a product or part may fail and, depending upon the manufacturer's T&C, this may be covered by warranty. If you have a potential warranty issue, in the first instance, please contact us directly by e-mail as soon as possible with full details of the defect. Include high resolution images or video where appropriate. Please do not take your bike or item to any third-party provider or other bike shop before contacting us. will not be responsible for any unauthorised costs incurred as a result of third party inspection, advice or works carried out. All warranties are on a "return to shop" basis for replacement, repair or forwarding to the manufacturer for warranty inspection and decision. All warranty return costs are at the expense of the customer and we recommend that all returned items are tracked and recorded and where applicable insured. GoodBikeGear will cover the cost of sending the repaired / replacement goods back to the customer.

6.9 Brand Warranty Details: Most brands will have full warranty details on their website, which you can view at any time. Generally, you will need to complete a warranty card or register your product on the manufacturers website to ensure you are covered by the warranty. For your convenience, we have listed our bike suppliers warranty details below.
